The electric mixer trucks out perform their diesel-powered counterparts with a max power of 350 kW and 2,800 Nm torque, while offering a driving range of 250 kms.
Chinese heavy equipment manufacturer SANY has recently unveiled a pure-electric version of its truck mixers meant for construction applications. The electric trucks will be formally launched at the upcoming Bauma China 2020 expo scheduled for late November this year. The company claims that these trucks are not just in prototype, rather, have been delivered to and commissioned for its strategic partners in China. SANY’s battery-powered solutions will be supporting customers to build up confidence in facing the ever stringent emission regulations, it adds.
The light-weight designed truck is equipped with permanent magnet synchronous motors offering a maximum power of 350 kW and 2,800 Nm peak torque, remarkably outperforming diesel-powered vehicle. The high-energy-density LFP batteries supply with sufficient energetic sources to motion and mixing activities of the vehicle, enabling a NEDC-rated driving range of 250 KM.
What’s more important is the vehicle’s safety design. SANY claims to have partnered with world-leading battery supplier to augment the power source with thermal management technology, anti roll-over structure, and fire-proof protection system.
Other features of the battery vehicle includes self-heating function in low-temperature environment and advanced cooling system in high-temperature condition, so that the truck is versatile under a wide scope of work conditions. In addition, Truck Line – an IoT platform dedicated for SANY vehicle – provides with productivity-enhancing functions, such as real-time monitoring, performance analysis, remote diagnosis.
