Technology

Arabian E Vehicles Energy & Services Middle East, AEVES PBX Middle East is revolutionizing the transport refrigeration industry through its exclusive partnership, having subsidiary rights to distribute PBX Technology.

The strategic collaboration is poised to bring significant advancements to the refrigeration industry by an advanced Austrian-manufactured refrigeration solutions.

Covering regions across the Middle East, GCC, Africa, and Asia, AEVES PBX Middle East is strategically positioning PBX to meet the increasing demand for transport refrigeration in electric vans & pickups. With India’s electric vehicle (EV) sector rapidly expanding, this partnership presents a prime opportunity to introduce PBX’s innovative cooling systems to Indian (EV) LCV OEMs, body builders, and end-user groups.

“Our PBX transport refrigeration systems are specifically designed for electric vans & pickups, offering models that cater to a variety of temperature needs,” says Fawad Farooq, Founder & Chief Executive Officer of AEVES PBX Middle East. “We are eager to establish business relationships with leading Indian EV groups to bring this groundbreaking technology to their fleets,” he adds.

Product Range Overview
The PBX range includes several models, such as the ecos M24, and the soon-to-be-launched for frozen cooling system ecos LHV in year 2025. The prototype of the ecos LHV, the world’s first all-electric high-voltage refrigeration system (400 -800V) specially designed for the needs of electric mobility in the light commercial vehicle sector. With impressive performance data, we can now also cover the topic of deep-freeze transport (-20 degrees) as well as significantly larger load volumes. It delivers superior cooling capacity and highly efficient heating while maintaining a minimal weight. ecos™ LHV pushes the boundaries while remaining true to natural refrigerants.

All of this is paired with the already familiar PBX features, such as a natural refrigerant, full digital integration, plug & play installation for all common brands and continued impressive efficiency in terms of energy consumption.

The ecos M24 model, for instance, can maintain fresh cooling between 4°C and 12°C, as well as fresh+ cooling from 0°C to 4°C. ecos M24 system for efficient drive cooling and 100% CO2-free refrigerant with our new indoor unit for the ecos M24 system with improved heating and cooling performance while maintaining the same power consumption. Our product platform ecos is tailored to the needs of the fleet owners of light commercial 3.5t vehicles enabling the shipping of temperature-sensitive goods in a reliable, clean and efficient way, We would like to include here PBX is the only maintenance free system with the lightweight design that leads to minimum total cost of ownership.

“Our systems are lightweight of just 39kg and incredibly easy to install,” Farooq explains. “The plug-and-play design allows for installation in just 1 to 3 hours, Full-hermetic system comes charged with refrigerant. Every system is 100% factory function and performance tested, thus ready for commissioning out of the box with zero maintenance required, making it the lightest system in the market ” Ready to Run” ->PBX is fully tested and charged with refrigerant, Maintenance free and does not require refrigeration knowledge. No Generator is needed; no belt driven system is required-> direct connection to the 12V Board net or E-PTO, No restrictions or Limits in case of the refrigerant (not affected by F-Gases regulations).

Technology and Compatibility
PBX systems are fully electric and designed for compatibility with multiple van and pick up brands, empowering vehicle body manufacturers for accelerated market penetration and scale worldwide. The unit can be installed and commissioned without third party dependency, fast and easy service decoupled from customer urgency. This versatility makes PBX a perfect solution for various electric vehicle platforms in today’s eco-conscious market.

“Our refrigeration solutions come with full digital connectivity and are electromobility-ready, which is critical in meeting modern-day demands,” says Farooq. Additionally, PBX’s systems are approved by major OEMs like Peugeot, Fiat, Citroën Ford, Renault, Kia, Mercedes, MAN, Volkswagen, Maxus, BYD, Hyundai, and offer cutting-edge features like Full Digital System compared to E-Mobility (Can-Bus Connection, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, IOT Interface, E-PTO ready).

Near to Medium Term Goals
Looking forward, AEVES PBX Middle East is committed to expanding its footprint in India by forming strategic partnerships with electric van & pickup manufacturers and end-users. PBX systems offer true zero emission free solution using natural refrigerant propane (F Gas Free R290=GWP of 3 & PFAS Free), no additional battery requirements for electric LCV’s, and consume just 7% of the vehicle’s traction battery energy per delivery day, thus reducing your fleet emission by up to 93%. A novel business model with guaranteed uptime shall enable an accelerated roll-out in the market.

“We are focused on bringing this breakthrough refrigeration solution to India’s EV market. Our goal is to work closely with local OEMs and body builders, providing the best-in-class refrigeration systems for fresh and frozen goods transport,” A paradigm shift in temperature-sensitive goods transportation for energy efficient and climate-neutral future, Farooq states.

As transport refrigeration continues to grow in demand globally, AEVES PBX Middle East is well-positioned to lead the way in providing efficient, environmentally friendly, and high-performance cooling systems for electric vans and pickups across India and other regions.
