BluSmart, India’s first and largest EV ride-hailing service and EV charging superhub infrastructure operator, has announced that it has achieved 10 million emission-free rides in just under five years of its operations in India. BluSmart becomes the first in India to successfully complete this significant milestone with EVs reshaping not only the way people commute but also contribute to the environment. Since its inception in 2019, BluSmart has covered over 300+ million clean kilometers saving 23,000+ tonnes of CO2 gas emissions, showcasing its commitment to emission-free urban mobility with a fleet size of over 5000+ EVs operating in Delhi NCR and Bengaluru.
The graphical representation above shows the time taken by BluSmart to hit every subsequent 2.5 million trip landmark. BluSmart’s growth trajectory has shown an upward trend while taking less and less time with only 3.5 months to achieve the most recent set of 2.5 million trips indicating a steady increase in scale and operational efficiency.
The core philosophy of BluSmart revolves around envisioning a future where clean and reliable transportation is accessible to everyone. BluSmart also creates awareness of carbon emissions through a unique feature ‘CO2 Tracker’ on the app. After every ride, the rider gets a notification indicating the amount of CO2 emissions saved by them having done their good deed of the day.
Commenting on the milestone, Anmol Singh Jaggi, Co-Founder and CEO, said, “It gives us great joy to mark our 10 millionth ride! The time taken to hit our first milestone vs subsequent milestones has reduced considerably which validates our operational model and efficiency to continue our focus on deeper expansion within the cities we are present.”
The company has already built 34 EV charging superhubs in prime locations in Delhi NCR and Bengaluruto facilitate smooth operations of the EV fleet. With over 4000+ strategically positioned charging points, BluSmart has effectively facilitated seamless and widespread usage of electric vehicles through its service.
