At this year’s Taipei AMPA, E-Mobility Taiwan 2035, and Autotronics Taipei exhibition, Chroma ATE Inc. showcased not only its leading-edge technologies but also its decades-long commitment to quality and global innovation. Celebrating 40 years of excellence, Chroma continues to evolve as a key enabler in testing and measurement solutions for the automotive and electronics industries—particularly electric vehicles (EVs), batteries, and smart manufacturing.

A highlight of Chroma’s presence at the show was its Electric Vehicle Test Solutions, including comprehensive systems for Battery Cell, Battery Module, Battery Pack, Battery Management System (BMS), Onboard Charger (OBC), DC-DC Converter, Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE), and Wireless Chargers. These solutions reflect Chroma’s focus on addressing the rapidly growing demands of global EV markets with reliable, precision-engineered technology.
“We have consistently provided test solutions for electric vehicles and battery systems,” said Evan Huang, Sales Specialist, Test & Measurement BU at Chroma ATE Inc., during our discussion at the event. “Over time, we have expanded our capabilities to include comprehensive testing platforms for electric drive systems, onboard chargers (OBC), relays, and EV charging infrastructure. In addition, we actively collaborate with battery developers—including major U.S.-based battery manufacturers—by supporting the development and validation of their proprietary battery pack technologies.
From Taiwan to the World
Chroma’s production is centered in Taiwan, where its headquarters and manufacturing facilities are based. Orders from global customers are fulfilled there before being shipped internationally.
“Our factory is in Taiwan because it’s our home base. But our after-sales support is global—Germany, Japan, Korea, Saudi Arabia—you name it,” he noted. “This strong presence helps customers meet national standards in their local markets, like Germany, where compliance is a prerequisite for sales.”

Chroma prides itself on delivering customized testing systems, especially for regional markets where unique demands drive innovation. This is especially evident in countries like India, where the rise of electric scooters is reshaping the mobility landscape.
“We recently received requests from India for scooter-related testing. Because scooters differ in performance and structure from EVs, we adapted our systems accordingly,” he explained. “Even for scooter supply stations, we customize to meet local needs.”
Expanding Presence in Southeast Asia
In Southeast Asia, Chroma is represented by Quantel Pte Ltd., its regional subsidiary. Quantel oversees the full product portfolio, extending Chroma’s reach to India, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
“Quantel is crucial in delivering our products and services across Southeast Asia. They’re not just a distributor—they’re our partners in ensuring top-quality after-service,” he said.

Chroma continues to position itself on quality and service. “Our strength lies in quality and comprehensive after-sales support,” he affirmed. “We have an extensive presence across India and Southeast Asia, which allows us to respond quickly to customer needs. In particular, our after-service capabilities in India—supported by Quantel—enable us to deliver reliable, localized support that meets the expectations of our clients.”
Looking ahead, Chroma aims to deepen its investment in precision calibration and service infrastructure—especially in high-growth markets like India, where electric vehicle adoption is accelerating.
“In the next five years, after-service will be more critical than ever. Calibration, accuracy, and precision are key,” he said. “We’re training more human resources to support Quantel and improve our service quality to meet growing demand.”
Chroma ATE’s legacy of truth in measurement and trust in partnerships is not just a slogan—it’s a guiding principle. Whether it’s EV battery testing, intelligent manufacturing, or regional customization, Chroma stands at the intersection of technology and reliability. “Before a product reaches the customer, it must pass the highest quality standards,” he concluded. “That’s what we help our clients achieve—no matter where they are in the world.”
