One of India’s fast-growing electric scooter company, EeVe India is expanding its product portfolio and market reach to make an indelible mark on the domestic electric two-wheeler industry.
Electric vehicles have caused a profound and indelible disruption in the automotive industry across the globe. In 2020, there is little room for doubt that EVs is where the future lies. And India certainly is not going to lag behind. Starting with two and three-wheelers, the transition will soon include personal mobility vehicles like cars and SUVs. Soon, the infrastructure of charging and battery swapping would also be in place on a larger scale with the government’s support.
It is precisely for this reason that the foray into electric energy vehicles looks very promising for EeVe India – an emerging electric scooter manufacturer that claims to strike a balance between high-end technology and sustainable mobility in one platform. In 2019, the Om Jay EV (EeVe) Ltd began its full-fledged operations, with in-house R&D and manufacturing at its Jajpur facility in Odisha. In a span of less than one year since its commercial launch, the company extended its presence across 45 major cities, scooped out about 61 dealerships, and boasts more than 1500-plus happy customers.
At present, EeVe India is catering to 55 locations spread out across the states of Assam, West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Maharashtra. The company has its sales network categorised into dealership, sub-dealership and ARD (Authorised Representative of Dealers). Since EeVe believes in maintaining the high quality of its vehicles, it sources key aggregates for its e-scooters from leading suppliers, with electric motors from Bosch, IOT from Aeries, and tyres from CEAT and RALCO. The company’s product portfolio includes four products – Xeniaa, 4U, Wind, and Your – that falls in the price bracket of INR 51,000 – 73,900.
The flagship models ‘Xeniaa’ and ‘4U’ are powered by swappable lithium-ion batteries that takes just 3-4 hours to recharge to deliver over 75 kms in full charge. A 250 W electric motor assures impressive performance and reliability, the company claims. Other interesting features on offer in EeVe’s products are IoT connectivity and integration, geo-tagging, key less entry, anti-theft lock, and USB port, to name a few. The company extends a warranty of 5 years for its electric scooters.
EeVe India plans to expand its market reach with 200 new dealers by the end of 2020. Two more e-scooter models are also expected to join the company’s portfolio to offer a wide range of solutions for buyers. With strong product strategy and consistent market expansion, the EV brand is riding into the future!
