‘Made in India’ electric bicycle start-up Svitch has solidified its pan-India presence with over 70 dealers, five distributors, and four exclusive dealers as the brand eyes to further deepen its market penetration across the country. At present, Svitch has distributors in Maharashtra, Haryana, New Delhi, and Karnataka. The brand also has four exclusive Svitch Showrooms in Bengaluru, Pune, Aurangabad, and Himmatnagar.
Having come to formal existence in 2018, the one-of-its-kind brand is best known for three of its most popular electric bicycles — Svitch XE+, Svitch XE, and Svitch MXE. Not long ago, the brand also launched the facelift versions of these bicycles — All new XE+ and All new XE. And despite the COVID-19 outbreak, Svitch has emerged as the most-loved electric cycle brand in a short period on the back of its excellent products, amazing aftersales service and rapid expansion.
“We began our humble journey with just two employees in just a 650-square-foot office. Today, with the support of consumers and dealers, we have grown up to 87+ Svitch mates and our headquarter spans across over 6,000 sq. ft. in Ahmedabad. We also have a factory spread over 40,000 sq. ft. There is relentless hard work behind this success. Our products are the best-in-class and our technology is unbeatable. The rapid growth is just a splash; Svitch bikes will soon revolutionize the EV market.”
“Our 250W DC motor gives the rider a speed of 25 km/hr and once you start pedaling, our bikes can easily clock 45 km/hr. The battery life of Svitch bikes is unparalleled and one can ride up to 120 km on a single charge. Also, our vehicles have dual suspension for ultimate comfort, they are sturdy, and they are portable as one can fold them easily. Further, the tyre, brakes, displays, and all our accessories are top notch and make every cycling ride a memorable experience.”
Mr. Raj Patel, Svitch Founder
According to the company’s official statement, all the production work at Svitch happens on the automated conveyor belt to reduce human errors. It adds that the brand’s objective is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of cutting India’s carbon footprint by 30-35%.
Svitch bikes are not only making inroads in India but also in countries like the UK, UAE, and many more. Encouraged with consumer response, Svitch is now working on manufacturing India’s fastest electric motorbike — S2K. The alpha (phase 1) tests of S2K have already been completed successfully and the beta tests — including parameters like robustness, security, performance, and artificial intelligence — are underway.
It is also worth mentioning that Svitch has, so far, participated in a ‘Madhya Pradesh Tourism’ event and in various domestic and international expos like a weekend window, city show, motofarm, and Dubai Expo 2020, among others. Svitch also ran various city tours in Ahmedabad under Weekend Wander Club and collaborated with Goa-tourism for eco-tours.
Notably, Svitch has also been recognized as a Startup Registration Company under the field of Automobile Industry by the Central Government of India.
