At BMGE 2025, SML ISUZU reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable innovation with the launch of its first-ever electric vehicle, the Hiroi EV. This electrified 9-meter midi bus, built on the modernized S7 platform, combines a robust Domex 650 chassis with a 200 kWh lithium-ion battery, delivering a range of over 180 km per charge. Featuring fast-charging capability of 2–4 hours and a powerful 200 kW motor producing 2,500 Nm of torque, the Hiroi EV sets new benchmarks in sustainable transportation for school and staff commutes.

In addition to the Hiroi EV, the company introduced four advanced products: the AASAI MX multi-purpose vehicle, the Premium Hiroi Bus, the ATS-125 Multi-Stretcher Ambulance, and the Samrat XT Plus Tipper. “This Expo marks a significant milestone for us as we stride toward green mobility and offer a diverse range of advanced solutions,” said Junya Yamanishi, underscoring the company’s focus on India’s dynamic and growing commercial vehicle market.

Yamanishi emphasized SML Isuzu’s market-driven approach and commitment to sustainable growth. “Our product development is always aligned with market needs. With the positive momentum in the industry, we are actively advancing our R&D and manufacturing capabilities,” he stated.

Targeting state government tenders (STUs) for electric midibuses, SML Isuzu also anticipates interest from private operators for the Hiroi EV. As the commercial roll-out approaches, the Hiroi EV exemplifies SML Isuzu’s vision for a greener, more efficient future in mobility. “This Expo is a testament to our vision for a sustainable and dynamic future. We are excited and ready for the road ahead,” Yamanishi concluded.
