Sokudo Electric India, an Indian manufacturer of electric two-wheelers, has announced plans to operate 100 flagship stores across India by December 2024. The electric two-wheeler manufacturer will open 20 new flagship stores within six months across states like Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra to expand its reach. Each store will have a minimum area of approximately 1,500 sq. ft., with some locations exceeding 2,000 sq. ft. These locations will serve as exclusive showrooms for Sokudo products, with distributor Anubhuti Electric overseeing their openings. The company expects the new flagship stores to contribute around 60% of its sales by the end of 2024. With this planned expansion, Sokudo Electric aims to capture 5% of India’s USD 681.3 million electric two-wheeler market size.
Mr. Prashant Vashishtha, CMD of Sokudo Electric India, expressed his thoughts on the latest expansion, saying, “Our new Sokudo flagship stores are a part of our long-term expansion plan through which we intend to boost our market presence. I am hopeful our strategic move will help us strengthen our market footing and allow us to help more consumers access high-quality electric scooters at an affordable price. We are currently in the opening phase of our flagship stores and aim to meet the high EV demand in key locations across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra. I am positive that our flagship stores will mark a milestone in our EV journey and allow us to refine our customer experience.”
For the new stores, the EV manufacturer selected locations with high demand for electric vehicles. These new flagship stores will showcase Sokudo Electric’s advanced scooters and components, such as wiring, harnesses, and controllers, offering customers a complete brand experience. The flagship store will also feature riding accessories, including Sokudo Electric’s newly launched ISI-certified helmets. Through this expansion, the electric scooter manufacturer aims to cater to the growing EV demand by offering a premium customer service experience and an efficient range of RTO and non-RTO electric scooters.
The electric two-wheeler manufacturer has recently established a 20,000 sq. ft. motor and controller plant to amp up its R&D activities and develop scooters with zero quality defects. Customers are likely to gain access to those new and more affordable electric scooter models online and in these upcoming flagship stores.
