Tata Motors delivers Tigor EVs to Goa’s Department of new and renewable energy

Tata Motors has partnered with the Department of New & Renewable Energy (DNRE) to deploy Tigor EVs in Goa, as a part of its tender with EESL. In an event held recently, the handover ceremony took place in the presence of Mr. Pramod Pandurang Sawant, Chief Minister of Goa, Mr. Rajesh Tulshidas Patnekar, Speaker, Goa Legislative Assembly, Mr. Nilesh Cabral, Minister for Power, Environmental, Non-conventional Source of Energy & Law & Judiciary, Mr. Parimal Rai, Chief Secretary, Govt of Goa, and other senior officers of the Ministry.

Tata Motors is playing a leading role in proactively driving the adoption of electric mobility in the country. The company is closely working with other Tata Group companies including Tata Power, Tata Chemicals, Tata Auto Components, Tata Motors Finance and Croma, to contribute to the faster adoption of EVs in India through its eMobility ecosystem called the “Tata uniEVerse”.

Tata Motors has consistently catered to the evolving needs of customers for electric cars with the introduction of best-selling products in both fleet (Tigor EV, with a range of 140 km & 213 km) and personal segment (Nexon EV, with a range of 312 km), thereby commanding a market share of 71% in EVs (YTD FY21).
