Electric motorcycle maker Ultraviolette has launched the X-47 Venom, the next generation of its X-47 Crossover, at an introductory price starting at ₹2,65,000. The price applies to the first 5,000 customers. Bookings open today at 4:00 PM IST, and deliveries begin in November 2026. The motorcycle is the first to be built on the company’s new VX-100 platform, a 100V architecture introduced alongside it.

Speaking on the launch, Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and Co-founder, Ultraviolette, said, “At Ultraviolette, design, engineering and technology have always evolved together, each pushing the other to unlock new possibilities. We constantly challenge ourselves to deliver greater performance, build more intelligence into our motorcycles and make every component lighter and more efficient. VX-100 is the outcome of that approach, establishing a technology foundation for a new generation of products across segments and markets. The X-47 Venom brings these advances to life, combining distinctive design with deeper engineering capabilities and technology that enhances the riding experience. As we grow, our ambition remains to keep pushing the boundaries of what electric motorcycles can deliver, guided by our own pursuit of innovation and the insights of the riders who experience our machines every day.”
The X-47 Venom has an IDC-certified range of 343 km, a peak power of 30 kW (40 hp), 550 Nm of torque at the wheel and a top speed of 155 km/h. It goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. Its kerb weight is 180 kg, which he said, is up to 20 kg less than the previous generation. Cruise control is available at the push of a button.
The motorcycle can support 12 kW DC fast charging, and describes it as India’s only electric two-wheeler with this capability. The charging system has safeguards against overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, excessive temperature and short circuits.

The VX-100 platform is built around a new SRB-11 battery, which the company says has up to 20% more energy density and twice the cooling performance. An optimised thermal path is designed to dissipate heat up to 50% faster. The battery sits in a cast-aluminium housing and has IP67 protection against dust and water immersion. According to him, the platform is modular and can support different battery sizes, vehicle types and power levels across its range.
According to Mr. Vinayak S Bhat, Chief Product Officer, Ultraviolette, the battery’s pyro-fuse is designed to cut the circuit in microseconds when a serious fault is detected. It works with a battery management system that monitors the voltage, temperature and current of individual cells, and each pack also has a cell-level fuse.
The motorcycle uses a new in-house 30 kW motor called UV LIGHTFURY, which uses soft magnetic composites in its design. It is lighter and more power-dense, with lower energy losses. A new motor control unit is twice as compact and has three times the power density, he said.
Talking on the engineering behind the motorcycle, Mr. Niraj Rajmohan, CTO and Co-founder, Ultraviolette, said, “The X-47 Venom reflects our approach to engineering the entire motorcycle as one integrated system. Its new VX-100 architecture works alongside SRB-11 battery technology, a lighter motor, and a next-generation motor control unit to improve power delivery, efficiency, and thermal performance. Each subsystem has been developed in conjunction with the others to improve power density, optimise packaging and reduce weight. With 12 kW DC fast charging and multi-tiered electro-mechanical protection, including a pyro-fuse, we have advanced performance, convenience and safety together. The result is a lighter, quicker, and supremely capable motorcycle built on a modular platform that allows us to extend these innovations across future products as we expand our portfolio and global presence.”
The X-47 Venom also carries the company’s UV Hypersense radar. This is a 77 GHz rear radar that monitors up to 200 metres behind the rider and adapts to lean angles of up to 20 degrees. It provides blind-spot monitoring, lane change assist, overtake alerts and rear collision warning. The collision warning is shown through the mirrors and also switches on the hazard lights.
Other features include park assist with a rear camera, a 7-inch TFT touchscreen, navigation through Mappls, connectivity with software updates and the Violette A.I. pack. The pack offers movement, fall, towing and crash alerts, remote lockdown and an anti-collision warning system. The company also promises an extendable warranty of up to 8,00,000 km.
Ultraviolette also introduced B-MAX, a reusable rider safety vest. The company says it meets 2X CE safety standards and offers 86% force attenuation. It protects the collar, back, chest, sides and hips, and each vest can be reused up to five times.
