Zelio E-Mobility has begun commercial production at a new manufacturing plant in Patan, Hisar, Haryana. The plant adds 72,000 units a year, taking the electric two- and three-wheeler maker’s installed capacity from 2.4 lakh to about 3.12 lakh units. It is Zelio’s fourth plant, after those in Haryana, Odisha and Tamil Nadu.

The plant can make 48,000 two-wheelers (scooters) and 24,000 three-wheelers a year, including the company’s Tanga electric three-wheelers. It spans six acres, with a built-up area of 2,61,360 sq. ft., and has in-house fabrication, painting and assembly lines that support the company’s plans for backward integration. The additional capacity is expected to come on stream during the third quarter of FY2026–27, with output scaled according to dealer demand, product mix and supply-chain readiness.
The company has committed more than ₹20 crore to the plant. Part of it is funded by proceeds of its IPO, with the rest to come from internal accruals. The company says the plant will improve supply to dealers, shorten replenishment times and cut logistics costs as it expands in Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets. It also expects to create jobs in fabrication, painting, assembly, quality control and warehousing, and says hiring will rise as production grows.

“The ability to control critical processes, maintain consistency across production lines and get vehicles to dealers when they are needed has a direct bearing on how efficiently a business can grow,” said Mr. Divyanshu Agarwal, CEO. Kunal Arya, Managing Director, said the plant “gives us a stronger base to deepen our presence across Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets”, with a focus on profitability and disciplined growth.
Zelio’s revenue rose 81.8% to ₹313.68 crore in FY2025–26, and it says it has been profitable since inception. It listed on the BSE SME platform in October 2025 at ₹136 a share, raising ₹78.34 crore. It has over 400 dealers in more than 25 states and is targeting more than 550 by FY2027.
